July 15, 2026: The Low Place
Water never climbs. It finds the lowest ground and gathers there, and the valley fills while every summit stays dry. The old word for this is humility: the question asked without pretending to know, the correction let in before the hand rises to defend. When someone else is right today, you could let them be right out loud, and let that be enough.

Overall Frequency
Water is the oldest teacher of this morning's lesson, and its classroom is everywhere: every stream on earth is on its way to a low place. The valley does not chase the rivers; it receives them, because of where it has chosen to sit. This morning the traditions gather around humility, the most misunderstood of the virtues, to correct the record: humility is not thinking little of yourself. It is the low, open ground where everything nourishing collects.
A Reflection Question
Where am I too senior, or too certain, to let anyone teach me?

Universal Guidance
✦
The valley never argues for its greatness, and every river arrives to agree. Sit low, stay open, and let the streams do the talking.
